Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time is ten hours behind the Coordinated Universal Time standard, written as an offset of UTC - 10:00. That means to find the standard time in the zone you must subtract ten hours from Coordinated Universal Time.

Territories observing the time zone are primarily in North America. It runs through the Aleutian islands which are actually considered part of Alaska. The U.S. State of Hawaii also uses this time zone. Those in the time zone refer to it as Hawaii Standard Time or HST.

During fall to winter months Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time is used, and then during Daylight Saving (spring to summer months) Hawaii-Aleutian Daylight Time or HADT is used. The U.S. State of Hawaii remains on Hawaii-Aleutian Standard time all year long and does not make any changes for Daylight Saving.
